BA 365 Cross-Cultural Negotiations
This course will help you analyze and improve the ways you make decisions, reach agreements, and resolve conflicts with others. Everyone, in every culture, negotiates every day-though people often have different ways of negotiating, both across cultures and within cultures.
By focusing on how culture and your own history of experiences influence your goals and processes of negotiating, and by understanding that you can develop a wider range of approaches to negotiation, this course will help you work more effectively within a global, diverse community. Throughout the course, you will learn several approaches for negotiating and participate in simulated negotiations and difficult conversations with peers from many cultures. While our in-class negotiations will focus mostly on business situations, the theory and practice you gain in this course will help you reach agreements in your everyday lives as well.
